Hi,

I have your typical Sony 1272Q remote, with IR interface, which requires 3 AA batteries.

I cannot get it to work for more than one or two button presses at a time. Then I must "juggle" the batteries and then it will usually work for another press or two.

I have switched it out with two different batches of brand-new batteries, so I know it is not simply that my batteries have gone dry.

The spring which pushes the batteries against their contact point is straight and tense - it is not damaged in any way. Likewise the contact point shows no signs of being shifted or oxidized.

I am using the cable that connects the remote to the back of the projector despite the availability of wireless use.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Hi, I figured it out Smile

The foam from the interior of the battery clip had gone, so I just replaced it with some tissue, to provide extra pressure against the batteries. That seems to have solved it
