I never bought it or watched it (but have recommended it...go figure) . One thing that I've always wondered about, since the fan noise of a 1292 is somewhere between a Concord and a 747 at take off, how do you hear him talking on the DVD?

I don't think I've even noticed the fan noise in the video.

You can hear the projector sometimes, but I wouldn't say it's distracting - even at the loudest. Most of the time, it's not even that noticeable. Graham's not even wearing a lav mic or anything - it's just the on-camera mic, IIRC.

Grahams so familiar with the 1292 that he can modulate his speach to include an anti-noise sound wave to create destructive interference at the exact opposite harmonic that the fans resonate at....he's studied under Tuvan throat singers....true story

For this entire summer I've been watching stuff from a couch not 2 feet away from a table mounted 1292. The noise isn't as bad as people tend to make it out to be. It is quieter than my computer at least....
