I know this info is posted on this site somewhere, but I can't find it anymore. I know there is a difference between what the manual states, and what Curt recomends.

It is easy, max the image in the center of the green and move the PJ to fit.

He may be trying to plan his HT which means he probably doesn't want to drag the PJ around too much... You can find the throw distances in the manuals here:

http://www.curtpalme.com/NECXG_Downloads.shtm

But as mentioned by Curt in his (excellent) CRT projector setup guide, XG's figures on the throw distances is set too far back by default, so take the distances and bring them all approx 7% closer to get the most out of your tubes...

Yeah, I am planning the home theater. I need to cutout a hole in the ceiling to mount my chief lift before I setup the projector. 7% closer eh. So the manual says for a 120" 4x3 screen the distance is 137.66" I am using a 106" 16x9 screen, which should be the equivalent. (96" wide) So i should subtract 7% from 137.66 giving me a distance of aprox. 128"
Does that sound correct?
