Yesterday I very sadly unplugged the RGBHV from my latest HTPC and connected to a Box1040 fed by a Sony S550 (S550 > YpBpR>Box1040>D50). Overall the images have looked surprisingly good, many BD's seemingly identical to those from the HTPC. One thing I've noticed though is that some DVD's cause the S550 to output a slightly different timing than others. Thus far most have been fH: 33.7 / fV: 60. Some though have shown fH 31.4 / fV: 59.8 - 60.0 All are Pos sync. S550 is set to output 1080i on Component.

Is this common? Any way to fix? Are there others timings I could be surprised by (nothing like having to do a quick convergence when guests sitting there)? Would S550>HDMI>HDFury1>Box1040 fix this?

Also, I am getting trace blur to the right of lighter parts of images. Only other time I think I've seen this is when trying to drive too high of timings (eg 1080p type on D50).

Thanks,
