It works.. Last year he offered a voucher for a pistol...

With a dealership in basically the middle of nowhere.... He does very well for himself..

For comic relief.. Watch this CNN reporter "interview" him

Shipping guns across the border would put me OUT of business pretty quickly methinks.

Now, I could probably offer BC bud, as long as it's under an ounce...Wink

I'm kidding of course, any trace of that on any projector would also put me out of business really quickly.

Well, he's only an hour from the KC MO metro area with a population of over 2 million. That's hardly "the middle of nowhere!" But he probably wouldn't attract nearly as much business without such attention-grabbing stunts. He's obviously good at getting attention and free advertising.

With all the Dealers in in KC, St Louis, and Springfield, Not to mention Branson... He might as well be in the middle of nowhere. Hell.. It isn't even on the way to Lake of the Ozarks.. Once you get out of that corridor. You have to give people a pretty good reason if you want to attract lots of traffic. Its about and hour and half.. from Overland Park.. and thats the southern edge of the metro area. So figure just shy of a 2 hour drive from most places in KC... and about the same from Springfield.

Butler is a town of about 4000... And being an more than an hour from any metro area is about as "middle of nowhere" as you are going to find in MO... There is little reason for most Kansas City residents to drive to Butler... You certainly don't have to drive that far just to buy a car...

Of course the stunts work.. That is the point.
