OK so I have a bit of a question here; does anyone know if there is such a thing that will allow me to feed a an RCA input to a computer so I can have it output to the projector....but there is the twist: there must be virtually NO lag time between input and output. The reason I ask is I wanted a way to interface my older game consoles with the projector instead of my 19" TV. I understand about the lower resolution problem and everything, but just wanted some feedback on this idea or input for other ideas. Thanks!

by "RCA input" you mean composite video - right?
check to see if your PJ has a composite input on it and plug the console to that.

What type of projector ?
You might need a RCA to BNC adapter .

Video capture card. Some TV cards also come with composite, and S-video inputs.

I could be wrong but I don't think there was a single CRT made that didn't at least have an option for composite input? If you need an input board that you don't have it will probably be dirt cheap because nobody cares about composite input - if you have a Marquee the multi-decoder boards are readily available.

I have a NEC PG6200+ XTRA that is currently hooked up to a PC for video input, hence my question.
I completely forgot about that; what do those things run? Where can they be found?

Unless it's really really hard to run the composite RCA to the PJ, I would avoid any kind of capture and go directly into the PJ.

Are you talking about standard-def input cards? I'd be surprised if your PJ doesn't already have one, and if it doesn't it should be readily available and cheap. Check with Curt. If you need a RCA->BNC adapter, those can be found at Radio Shack.

You know what is funny, I never even thought to actually try the input on the projector; I have been running everything off of the BNC-->RCA adapter to the computer.
I did manage to do something fun, which was install a PSX emulator on the PC and run the the game right from the cd rom! Even with an integrated graphics card, it actually worked alright! This may have solved half the problem, though I don't really think this is a good enough solution; still have some other issues with saved games on memory cards and not being able to transfer those over or anything along with cartridge based games.
I will have to try the input when I get home; I can't believe I never thought to even try that LOL!
