|
|
Got a BIIIG box in the mail today. It was a box that I sent out eons ago, and I figured someone sent me back a bunch of stuff they owed me. The mailing label that I used to send out the stuff was cut and blacked out, so that only my address was showing. Looks like someone in Canada sent it to me, there was no customs stickers on it.
Inside was a medium sized Tannoy powered subwoofer. I don't recall sending emails to and from anyone about this, except that someone here a while ago was troubleshooting a subwoofer amplifier plate.
I powered it up, it works fine.
Who sent this to me, there's no note in it? It's about to go into the upstairs HT for the kids..

It's a 10". Hardly a SUB woofer. Nothing short of dual 12s count as subwoofers.

That's the thing. I didn't sell it, I didn't communicate with anyone about sending one in for service, and I sure don't want to buy it.
And no, I don' t keep track of cardboard boxes I send out.

Well, nicely done now. Maybe put it up for sale and see if someone is like "heeeeeey!"

I have customers do this all the time. Eventually I get a cal saying "Hey I sent xxxxxxxx in for repair 4 months ago is it done?" to which I always reply: "Oh that. I didn't know who it belonged to so I sold it"
The pause at the other end of the phone is priceless. LMASO
Then I tell them they should really put a card in the box or at least a return address
