"SOPS-1036" comes up as a troubleshooting topic in the 1271 circuit manual. So I think it's probably a model intended for commercial rear projection... no case, easier to quickly remove and replace parts. Maybe from a Disney ride like Haunted Mansion.

The value is probably closer to $200-250. And that's IF it has minty tubes, hopefully an unused spare. Not worth any shipping cost.

It has 7" tubes and is liquid coupled. It is a retro projector based on the sony 12XX series. You can easily identify the individual components/boards in the pictures.

Hi

It was a RVP 6010 CRT rear projection display with 60 inch screen, have a couple of these chassis (removed from RVP 6010 with broken screen material) in my garage at home, usefull for bits if you have a VPH-1270/1, they take up less space when out of the cabinets.

Uses 07MP electrostatic focus tubes, if it was local to me i.e in the UK and about 10 mins away I would give it a new home and reunite it with its brothers in my garage Very Happy

You mean you'd give it a new home IF the current owner weren't asking a ridiculous and utter unobtainable sum of money for it?

I'll give them a £1 for it, that's all it would go for at my local electronic junk sale, either that or charge them to take it away. Smile

That seller has had that projector for sale at LEAST a year or two. I'm pretty sure if you searched hard enough, you'd find a thread or two here about it. They must have way too much money it to be asking a silly price like that. They'd be incredibly lucky to get $200 for it! If they keep asking that price for it another year or two, they'll have to pay someone to take it if they want rid of it.
