Hello
I am searching for replacement C-Elements for my 07msu tubes using the HD-215 lenses.I would like to use my 117-24 lenses but I am not sure what C-elements I will need for my tubes. I know that the C-Elements I need for the lenses were used with the HD-114/117 Lenses in Retro machines.
My tubes are mentioned in the Sony catalogue as 5,5" (Sony RVP 4010). I have never seen an 8" C-Element, so I dont know if they will fit in my chambers. My Elemnts are still in the tubes, so I can only provide estimated measurements. The part I can see with the adapter ring still mounted ist about 10.6cm(4.17"). The inner part with the ring removed is a bid more than 11.6cm(4.57"). Is this an 8" C-Element?
Or do exist smaller C-Elements?
For example what C-Elements are used in the 708 Retrodatas?
Where can I obtain the ones I need?
Best regards from Munich
Marc

Why do you want to replace them? I mean, unless they somehow got damaged, they outlast just about any other part of PJ, so why not to reuse them? I sort of assume you are thinking of retubing your PJ?

I have two clear ones here that measure 106.5mm on the outer diameter and 80 mm at the largest part of the concave surface. I have no idea what they might fit.

If I remember correct HD117 and HD215 c-elements have same diameter, so those should fit to your current lc hardware. Only radius for concave shape is different.
Both optics are used with 7" and 8" tubes.
5.5" is same that 7".

Hello and thanks for your replies!
To jkruger: Do you mean 90mm? When I look at the tube with the installed Element, I measure 90mm of diameter in the concave part of the Element. You did write 80mm...
To Ile: Originally there were really weird lenses (delta-88t) installed on the tubes, but I found out that the hd-215 work, if I mount them with lots of spacers an inch away from the tubes. I am not sure if this is a true HD-215 C-Element. Time to swap it...
Thanks from Munich

Measured them again. Definitely 80mm to the edge of the concave surface.
