Hi,
I have a problem on my old BD800.
I changed the blue tube last night and it looks like the signal from port5 blue BNC doesn't go all the way to the tube.
The BD800 has been stored for the last few month in a flight case in the house and I didn't fire it up before changing the tube so the problem might have been there already (maybe when I took it out of the living room to replace it by a BG808).
So I tried the following:
-I connected the projector to my HTPC on port 5. Results: No blue but If I go in the menu and generate a gen-lock pattern then the blue the blue tube works.
I tried different resolution (from 600i to 720p with the same results). I swapped the blue cable with the green one to check if it was from the cable but the blue tube stays black and the green showed the blue picture...in Green
I also checked the cable on my BG808 and it works fine
- I then connected a video signal on port1 and everything works fine.
I read on the Barco Layout and Setup Tips (Page 5) :
| Quote: | RGB/Video switcher board :
This board switches the projector between video, S-video and the RGB inputs. A cable from the controller board switches the board between the various inputs. This board is subject to failure if static electricity appears on the BNC input connectors, and the symptom can be a missing color, one input is dead, or worst case none of the inputs may work.

Sounds like it could be my problem.
Do you know how to fix the problem. It must come from the RGB/switching board and probably a transistor that switches the signal has died???
If you have any idea to fix it or help me finding the faulty components that would be great.
I printed out all the documents about the switch board and the quad decoder + the bloc diagram to help me out.
Thanks
Damien

do you have another board to swap in? that would be a good test I'd think. Other than that I'm a newb yet on my bg808.

The problem is in the RGB switcher board. I have lots, I'll sell you one for less than what it would cost to repair yours.
