After installing a working YA board from a parts mule I purchased recently I'm seeing some strange memory and menu stuff.
Firstly the top right has some ref in the menu that I don't remember seeing before. It says 'SW-ER1-1'. Secondly the input from the PS3 is not automatically recognized and so the calibrations associated with that input are not selected and displayed. I have to go into Expert menu and manually select the desired input memory and then all is well. Am I missing something here?

don't you have to reset something or turn something off when replacing the YA board? its in one of the other G90 threads.

There may be a jumper switch set wrong on the YA.

Where are the jumpers on the YA board? Do you mean the S203 dip switches? I'll get a pic and post it up later. The only difference I can see is that instead of Input A, B etc on the top right of the menu screen I see SW'ER1-1.

Here's the snapshot of the menu screen. BR signal is being feed through Input A.

That's got to mean it's set for Switcher control doesn't it?

Kinda like the ole 5BNC switch on a 12xx.

Check the two rotary switches at the back of the YA board. They should be in '0'-'1' positions.

Checked switches and they're set as suggested to '0' '1'

It seems like the jumper switches on the YA may be set at positions to upload software or something...

On S201 bank they should all be set to "on" I think.

On S204 and S205 they should all be "off" I think.

You might want to check the action of switches S202 and S203.

When you save settings, does the projector retain them?

But I was thinking the same as Mark, it seems like the G90 wants to talk to a switcher. So maybe check that the rotary switches are actually working and that the projector knows that it is 0-1.

This is your new YA Haydn? You have some luck.

Never mind... lack of coffee makes craig something something Confused Confused Confused

Anyway, I am going to UPS this morning, why don't I send you your Dallas chip today. Maybe someone configured your parts projector for a switch and we just don't know how to turn it off.

Haydn,

On the remote, press the "SYS SET" key and see if that fixes everything Wink

Thanks Craig,
A few things to try this evening. I've got a feeling it may be the 5BNC thing that Mark mentioned.
One other thing when I make adjustments and try to save them by pressing the 'Memory', nothing seems to happen. It says saving complete but doesn't show the 'where do you want to save' option.

It does sound like its in switcher mode and a sys set should fix it like Craig said.

Other wise its an input memory id under custom only which are locations 13-150 I think.

I'm feeding a 1080P signal from a PS3 through Moome's ext box into 5BNC on Input A. What are the optimal fv and fh for the G90? I seem to have options at 60.000Hz, 59.0XXHz, 60.00XHz etc for fh in the menus.

Problem resolved. Thanks Mark, it was the 5BNC off setting that was needed. Simple in the end. Now everything is good again.
