i just got a nec xg hdmi imput car for my xg 110.
when i ran it at 1080p i got image fold over and streaking. i've read on the forums that it is a common problem, and i need to run it at 1080i or get a video scaler to avoid these problems.

so i have 2 questions:

-is this the only way to get 1080p out of my projector? why cant it handle the 1080p? i thought its resolution can exceed 1080p?

-also, i followed the instructions on the forums about how to adjust the gamma boost. i turned the small dial counter clock wise until i heard some slight click sounds. then i used the remote to adjust it but it doesnt seem to do anything.
im not sure if im doing something wrong or is my input card not working properly?

thanks for your help it is greatly appreciated Smile

Are you running 1080p 24? Most Projectors don't like that. What source are you using?

i have a sony s550. i did run it at 1080p 24 but it gave me the problems i've decribed. so i now run it at 1080i but i can still see the lines/pixels. i figured 1080p would give me a better picture but im not sure how to achieve this.

If the sony is set for auto it will lock on to 1080p with the moome card. Check that you have 1080i selected and not the auto.If that isn't it perhaps tech support for everything A.K.A AnalogRocks can help further.

Set it to 1080p, turn off 24 fps, the CRT projector can't handle such a slow scan rate. Not sure if this will fix your fold over problem though.

i dont have a camera at the moment but the streaking are horizontal bars in the form of shadows. when the image moves the horizontal bars flicker and move aswell. have you heard of this before?

the horizontal bars are kind of like a faint ghost image. you can see through them and some lines are darker than others.
thanks
