I went through the physical aiming and setup again, thanks for the help earlier.
I now have the rasters centered to my source and almost perfect at midpoints and have aligned the crosshairs horizontally. However, the Red appears to be much lower on the left side than the right. It would be like if you turned the crt counterclockwise (facing the screen) to the left about 5 minutes. The left side is inches lower than the right. It's near impossible to get the convergence right and the left side is WAY out of focus. Any ideas? scheimpflug?

Check the easiest thing first. Is the crt sitting square and level? If physical adjustments can't fix it then its time to go mess around in the scary place that I hate to go...
If everything is square with the screen you'll need to adjust the lens tilt to get equal focus from thelft to right

Sounds to me as though he needs to adjust the front yoke on the red tube. If you put up a full screen cross pattern with the skew adjustments set to mid point (I don't know how or what Barco calls it) and the whole thing looks twisted counter clockwise "5 minutes" then the yoke needs to be twisted "5 minutes" clockwise. Most tech's do this while running but there is very high voltage involved. If that is the problem, my suggestion is to shut it off, un plug it and let it sit for a while to discharge. Then look in and find the clamp that secures the yoke to the tube, loosen it and attempt to rotate the yoke the 5 minutes you require. You may find that the yoke is stuck to the tube. Most times it's only stuck where the clamp is. You'll have to deal with that. I can't speak for Barco but some manufacturers will hot glue them in place at the factory up at the bell end. Be carefull not to damage the tiny wires of the yoke. If you find that task easy enough, you might want to check all three colors with the controls set to mid point. Good luck.

See how nice I am. I'll even help a Barco owner.
Check Curt's setup guide for the 808. The last page shows the deflection yoke and clamp that you need to loosen.
It should be a walk in the park to make the adjustment.

Thanks for the tips, I'll make sure everything is level, now that I moved it it's possible it isn't. I'll check the yokes too that may be it.

That was it stefuel! thanks for the help! I turned it with it off, then got gutsy and did it while it was on but was very careful. I was able to get the convergence of the red dead on now. Thanks!

A quick hint - whenever you're working in the PJ when it's on, keep one hand in a pocket. The worst case scenario is to be holding the chassis ground with one hand while you poke HV with the other - bang, 30kv right through your heart. Bad news. Keep one hand far from the PJ and you'll get knocked across the room, but the chances of your breathing afterwords are much better!
Do the pocket thing because just trying to remember to keep your hand away doesn't work well - you unconsciously brace yourself. If you can't manage it with one hand and be stable, then...
...and you should turn the PJ off and wait.

Yep, its still the scary place. Haven't been there with the marquee, but had to do it on the sony. I was a nervous wreck the whole time
One hand in pocket is the same way I try to approach adding new breakers to the panel but sometimes it just requires two hands.

I rather like it. There aren't many situations that demand *ABSOLUTE* concentration the same way, so it's a nice change of pace.

Cool. I will send you my " helper" (flashlight wiggler and asker of questions while you are trying to concentrate whilst in scary places) That should up the concentration ante for ya.
