I ordered the 3 x 1 auto sensing switcher from the HD Fury makers. Last night was my first chance to really give it a tryout. I've read all the posts in that section and see others have trouble with it not autosensing. I assume it's the same deal with my Samsung BR being in standby even powered off that's not allowing it to autosense. It just won't do it no matter how many times I power up/down devices. It stays on the same input. I found that problem listed, but the other problem I'm having is that when I manually switch it, it peeves off my Moome box and I get a Vsync out of range. It just will not lock in. I tried power off on on the device, pulling the cable and plugging it back in and disconnecting from the Moome box and plugging back in. I know it's got to be the switch because I can plug the individual boxes directly into the Moome box and the problem goes away.
Has anyone else run across the issue? I think I'm going to send it back. I ordered another from monoprice last night that comes with a remote because I finally got all of my servers and AV equipment moved to the closet and got my remote repeaters/extenders working and this putzy thing is the only thing that keeps me from being able to control everything without having to go to the closet and switch things.
Oh, I got my replacement box from Moome yesterday but haven't got it swapped out yet in order to test the gamma on this one. Of course it would come the same day I had just moved everything to the closet and I cannot see the screen from there while I'm see if the gamma adjustments work in this one....... go figure.

that's wierd, I bought a used one from a forum meber and it works perfectly. Can't say the same for my POS Samsung 1400, last weekend it starting to randomly go into fast-forward mode on it's own. Not actually showing the tool bar but just doing it in the middle of the movie. I guess I should have known better, stay away from Korean Samsung and chinese LG built electronics

Cool. How about I send you mine and you send me yours because my Samsung is working perfectly and so is my LG 1080i tubed widescreen tv. I think that's fair. At least one of us should have everything in working order

I have one too. I thought it was supposed to stay on the last input until you change it? I thought 1 input was kind of the priority. I'm not using it currently as I only have 1 device (PS3) hooked up at the moment. I'll use it when I hook my cable up to the projector as well.
Try putting the dominant BR player on the input 2 or 3 and put something else in input 1. Use the input 1 the first time you turn it on and see if that input becomes the dominant one.
If you are still having problems I can put mine into the mix to try it.

I already tried putting different things on different ports. I had the samsung. Bluray, the toshiba hd player and the cable box. I tried moving all of them around to different ports and turning off on in different sequences. It never once auto-sensed the change and when manually switched threw the moome box into a tizzy and my pj would just sit there with a vsync out of range notice until everything was powered down and the source plugged directly into the moome box after a power cycle of the moome box as well.

I had recommended one of these switches for a friend that has the same problem. Not only would it not auto switch, it failed all together yesterday.
Now none of the LEDS light up..

Oh well. Can't blame a girl for trying!
Yes. I'm convinced its broken and also from the other threads that even if it weren't it still would have to be manually switched due to the standby issue noted with certain equipment. it would still be inadequate if I had to manually switch. The only suggested work around I saw was to put a ps3 on it but I'm not in favor of spending 300+ to make a 99 dollar piece of equipment work. I'm anxious to get it returned and for the arrival of the one I bought yesterday that has a remote!

Buy the Oppo switcher and you won't have any problems.
