I want something that takes VGA in and outputs to 5 BNC and VGA out. I see the Extron 150xi does exactly that, is there anything good/bad about the Extron box? Is there a better way to do this? Will Buen modify my RTC2200 to have 5 bnc out? Wink

I like the extron gear, i have several pieces, there are a number dual output boxes made by extron, my uber scaler has dual outputs, but then you probably don't need a scaler/switcher just to get dual output Smile

there is a B-Stock SW2 VGA DA2 for about $450 on their site - and you get a 3 year warantee...

Thanks Zaphod. What I'm trying to do is run my RTC2200 into a switch that has both 5bnc for the projector and DSub for a preview monitor (this will also let my son play PS3 for hours on end on the monitor instead of teh PJ). I have a very high quality cable with BNC connectors on both ends, I don't want to reduce this quality by adding a short VGA to BNC breakout cable. I found an Extron 150xi on teh bay for cheap. My concern is that with a cheap Extron solution I am still negating the value of the high quality cable.

There is no way you will degrade the quality of the signal by using a short breakout cable. Get the extron box, it is a quality product.

Extrons are broadcast quality products, 300Mhz bandwidth. However, any that I've used that include a "boost" circuit add ringing, personally, I prefer Altinex products. They are owned by Extron now, but stuff you find on ebay is from when they were an independant company.
If you don't use the boost *feature* on an Extron box, you shouldn't get the ringing I've seen...

Extrons are at least the equal of your expensive cable...I'd use an Extron 109Plus for your application, it has a VGA input, a local monitor output which is the same as the input, and a 5 BNC output which is buffered and changed to +/+ synch. I've bought these on ebay for as little as $5. each before...
