|
|
After replacing the worn out red in my AmPro (hear that Pete, a Ampro that used up a red) I was doing a full calibration which brought me back to a question that I've asked in the past but did not get a definitive answer. When attempting to reduce the "blue hump" by defocussing the blue, is there a prefered direction. Over focus and under focus seems to net the same results on the colorimeter. The small amount required does not show any sharpness difference one way or the other. So is there a generally accepted direction of de-focus?

As far as I know, it makes no difference. As long as you spread out the electrons on the phosphor, the result should be the same.
