Got a new issue with the pj. The green CRT is VERY dim. Also, the color and tint buttons on the wired remote do not bring up the adjustment window on the screen or cause any input to be detected. The CPU shows an input when the buttons are pushed thou. I have switched out EVERY card, power supply, and the quadrulpler in the back of the PJ. I have also switched the amplifier between the red and green CRT's. No change in the problem. The green CRT stays dim.
Before I go though the pain of switching out the green CRT itself, does anyone here have any other suggestions. Can a CRT just go dim on its own? HELP!

Come on now. Some of you guys must have seen this before. Oh yes, I did first check out for a clean feed source. No problem there.

How many hrs on the 1208??
How many hrs on the tubes??
Has this projector been running for you and the green has just become more dim??
Have you adjusted the G2 and drive for the PJ??, green tube??
Lots more info needed.
Sure an individual CRT can go dim if the tubes cathode is getting worn out.
I'm not sure what your comments on Color and Tint are about, but I can tell you with RGBHV hooded up those controls don't operate.

Well, went and switched out the green tube with all the commonly attached components. Now I got the pj back up, but I be damned if I can get the crosshairs to line up. The installation manual is no help. Some of you Barco experts chime in and help this noob. I get the left and right mechanical adjustment, but how do I get the vertical adjustments?

The mechanical adjustment only covers horizontial lineup. Assuming you have the projector square to screen, you do right, then you are left with using either the pots on the vertical board or the electronic raster shift (aka center zone convergence) to make up the delta in height.

Thank's for the reply. I have never messed with the pots. You would think the Barco manual and/or the installation menus would clarify this. Thanks

See the 'tips' section for the BArco 808, that shows where the pots are.

Hi Curt, I only checked the 1208 tips. Thanks for pointing me to the 808 tips.
