I'm seeing that some are actually changing these out in order to run super quiet 12v fans of the same cfm instead of the factory 24v units.

Has anyone here done that? Sounds like a fun and worthwhile tweak.

I used Enermax Enobal Bearing fans... super quiet and enough air flow for both power supplies( air gets pulled through the HVPS also with the LVPS fans).

Thanks, Athanios. I had started reading through that thread but got too sleepy before getting to that section. Smile

Btw, nice looking hot air station you have there. Is it still working well for you? I can't believe I paid $100 for just a straight Hakko station with regular pencil iron.

I have yet to start ordering any components for my set yet - waiting on getting the hd10-l's replaced first.
