as stated above one of my cinemax pj is almost going to scan fail, because the 17volt P1 can only go as high as 16.5volt.the voltage seems to drop incrementally each day.I have adjusted it at 17.5 volts originally with much turning to spare(CW),now it is maxed out(cw) at 16.5v only. This pj has been working for the past 10 days.

The P700 horizontal width is almost to its minimum (ccw). The menu h amplitude using the remote is adjusted at 99 max.The picture width is at 87.5 in. and the pj distance to the screen is 125 inches,if based on the pj 's screen calculator ,it looks to be within range.

Is the p700 adjusted too low? or is the P1 pot drifting high?Is it the smps caps?

with a 1080p signal the +17v drops to 15v.

Newer seen 909 smps, but if there is those few 100uF caps in primary section like other Barco smps. Those tend to dry. Chance those to 100uF 105 C and see if that helps.

Seems kind of odd that all the low voltage points are low except the 9v one, hmmm, then again I have no idea where they are testing these voltages at. If they are checked right at the supply then it would seem they should all be low, but that 9v supply showing 10+ is strange. Did you say you have 2 pjs, if so swap the supply and lets see what it says. All the supply voltages are regulated by the same internal feedback circuit, so if one droops then they all will or should.

Maybe +9V line in that table is from stb power supply, that is separete smps in sub board.

Thanks,Ile
will be looking in to the smps board for them the caps seems to have the same values as the older pjs,....

thanks to info gathered on this site,There seems to be an issue on the stand by board,470uf caps and tvss diode, however the bad cap would supposedly cause low voltage and is different from the issue. But i will replace the surge suppressor diode to find out.

The smps swap from second pj would be next on the list, will let you guys know....Big thanks.
