Hi gents, I have the Ampro doing 1080p and am happy watching blu rays and HD DVDs thanks to Mcgyver, Tse, Papalek and many others, however its time to ceiling mount the Beast.

My ceiling is 267cm 105.2 inches high, I want the center of the screen to be at 127 cm 50" high and need advice on a few things.

1: How low of the ceiling does the pj have to be to get the center of the picture at 127cm/50" of the ground.
2: I do not mind lowering the pj to get the back of it lower to use less adjustments is this possible, the pj can be at 190cm of the ground, I assume that the 2 10mm Threaded rod will have to be cut shorter on the front to lift the pj more in line with the back.

Thanks gents.

If you have the factory mount and a copy of the service/owners manual all your questions are answered there.
Clue....Dual Pipe extensions Wink

Are you sure about the screen center at 50" from floor? That's pretty low. The projector is designed to put the top of a 3 x 4 aspect picture at the same height as the bottom (ceiling mount) when mounted parallel to the ceiling.

Anyhow, before ceiling mounting I like to put the projector below where I think it should go and set the deflection for ceiling mount. Do all of the centering and size adjustments (with upside down image on screen) while it is still on a table where things are easy to get to. Then when you flip it over and hang from the ceiling there is minimal stuff to do.

Will do sir, I didn't even think of that , that way I can also easily see the height needed from the ceiling. As for the 50" from the floor thats 127cm high, yes I checked that and as the seats I have are low thats where my eye level is above the ground when sitting down do you think this is incorrect?

I have one of these in my theater room. Had to move it to get the 1209s up there.
