I went out and picked myself up a nec xg1350. Really low hours, like under 300. Minty tubes. Got it from a av rental and sales place.
The owner got it brand new, had a guy trained by nec. rented it a couple of times, and the nec guy that he had trained got injured and never came back to work. It has sat ever since, and just been moved around the shop. Picked it for 425.
Now I need a few things. I need a remote and a ceiling mount. I know that its sorta useless without a remote. I did download the computer program from here to control it, but no cable as of yet.
Soon the ecp will be replaced with the xg.

Great deal! My minty G70 came from a rental house, too. Congrats! ECP to an XG - nice upgrade!

Heh... the twists of fate - an A/V rental tech slips on a wet spot at the K-mart... six years later, scir16v upgrades his home theater!
Good find!
