Hi -

I am very excited about using the HDFury2. I took it as a recommendation from someone on the board, but I am having issues getting it to work.

I just bought a Sony S350 Blu-Ray player and hooked it up in the HDFury2 to RGB out...it goes into a switcher and then to my projector, a Seleco HD Millenium.

I can see the previews okay (it wouldn't work on 1080p - the blue light goes out), so I set it to 1080i just to see the picture. I get all the way to the movie menu screen and then it loses the picture. The blue light is still on - and a red one on the bottom. I have ordered the power supply already, so that may be the issue.

So, the issues have now grown in size. Now I cannot get any HD to display on everything that was working prior to testing this HDFury2 chip.

The setup I had before was working - now the best I can get is 480i, whereas prior I was getting 1080i.

The setup was an XBOX360 with HD, along with an HD DirecTV receiver, and a DVD player that was going into a iSCAN DVDO and then each of these were going out to a JVC switcher. Out is YCRCB; projector is a SIM2 Seleco SVD800 Millenium edition that was set to receive YCRCB 15k. I have removed the iSCAN DVDO since I was going to be using the HDFury 2.

I am using the blue version of the HDFURY2, which I think is actually an RGB connection. Could this have damaged the projector? I need something to help go from the HDFURY2 to YCRCB. Can you please advise?

I have also removed the JVC selector from the mix and still no HD, which leads me to believe I know have a problem with the projector.

Please advise. I would at least like to get this thing back up and running. I will get an HDMI switcher and an HDMI out for the XBOX360 and use the HDMI out on the DirecTV receiver, but again, I think there is a projector issue now.

Please help!

Thanks!

Rick

Problem resolved!

We are back up and running on 1080i.

Once I get the power supply, I will try 1080p.

Scorpio and I have been back and forth about this in email.

If lower resolutions (ex: 1080i) work but higher ones (ex: 1080p) do not, and they work from other devices, then the issue is that the source is unable to supply adequate power and the power supply must be used.

A power supply *is* required by most source devices. This is why we include a power supply in our CurtPalme.com HDfury2 kits. In most cases it's needed.
