I came across this company while doing research for building a video wall. I know nothing about blending but this looks interesting. I may give them a call to see how much it cost for a 2 or 4 projector blend setup.

Here is a link to their 80 projector, 50 megapixel setup

Very cool. Just make sure you're sitting down when you ask for the price quote. I guarantee that'll be a pricey piece of kit.

I think there was a thread about this company and their equipment a year or two ago - maybe after I/ITSEC or something. I think it was a Navy boat sim or something, and they were talking about how fast they could set up a blend of multiple projectors, and how it easy and automatic it was.

Yeah, that or the companies that will integrate the tech are expecting to actually win projects and make money when they do.

Wish it were that easy with the DVX or the TVOne's and CRT projectors...

Did you find out how much something like that would cost? Doesn't look cheap

Spoke with the Sales Manager from Mersive today. He is actually an ex Barco employee. The main unit with the calibration camera is $7,500 and then each channel (projector) is $5000 They have a prepackaged system that will take in 6 DVI inputs for $30,000 I am going to look into this for some of the command center installations that we do. He is making plans on coming to Dallas in March for a demo.

Wow, so only $17,500 for a 2-projector blend? Did I hear somebody say POWER BUY!?!?!?!! How much discount can we get on a dozen of them? I'll just slap the order on my Amex card!

Smile

Not bad for a commercial system for what it does. The 6-channel setup for $30,000 seems like a pretty damn good price to me. Too bad it's not any better priced for HT than is the Blendzilla.
