So, I have now run through a few of the main(3.15A) fuses and have nothing to show for it, I have gone through suspected solder joints and can't see anything wrong. Is there something simple that I may be missing?

The best advice is to either send your SMPS to Curt or just buy one from Curt and keep yours for parts. Curt takes care of the solder joint and any other known problems when you buy one from him and you only pay freight one way.

I understand that sending it to Curt is an option, along with purchasing one. However, I am just looking for some input to learn more about this projector, and essentially be able to fix it kinda on my own.

A poor solder joint is only a small percentage of what will cause a fuse to blow. More then likely you have a shorted component. You need to do some testing after the path of the fuse.

You need some other boards so you can swap out components and see what makes a difference. As I understand a bad H or V board could also cause SMPS fuses to blow. So if you have some replacement boards you can swap them out to see if you can change the result. Trying to diagnose a problem that could have various causes would be difficult without parts to swap out. So if as you say you want to be able effect your own repairs then spare parts are a must including a spare SMPS.

Also bad C105, Q100 and IC100 is possible, but not so likely.
This one is pretty common fail in all Barcos, if these caps haven't chanced to 105 C ones. And then it's time to send it to Curt, if you aren't familiar with this kind board level repairs. I have always swapped all 100 uF primary caps to all my Barcos and haven't got any smps problems yet.

I haven't checked those caps yet, and it doesn't sound like a bad idea.. I'll give it a shot. As far as the fuses, Its only the main 3.15A fuse that is the problem, not the others. There are no lights on including scan fail.

Alright here's a hint: pull J1 and J2 harness off the supply and see if it still blows the fuse.
Curt, dont yell at me......
