Sad My PJ is unusable: there are erratic horizontal movements between the red and green/blue picture. The problem started when trying to use a computer as a source for HDTV. It went away after reseating some boards and everything was fine using a DVD player and a line multiplyer (NEC IP 4000Q) as a source. Christmas I tried my luck again with the computer and the problem reappeared (and I cannot make it disappear again, also the DVD player signal shows the same defect).

I attach two sreenshots and hope someone knows what is wrong here.

Thanks

Martin

Sorry for the delay - we tried 1920x1080 50 Hz, then lower resolutions like 1600x1200 60 Hz etc. - all with the same results.

Thanks

Martin

It jumps back and forth?

I would try reseating again.

If that doesn't help, I'd swap the Horizontal Deflection board, then the Oscillator board. (Curt?).

Mechanical setup: The PJ is ceiling mounted, distance to the screen is about 100 inches. I did the the setup procedure according to the description in Curts home page (first centering and focusing, raster size etc.)

Yes, it jumps around unpredictably but only in the horizontal direction.

IŽll try reseating again but have little hope it will help.

Thanks for your thoughts

Martin

Surprise! I opened the beast, tried all the boards in the back without success and the toyed a bit with the connectors at the H DEF PWB - and at least for the moment the picture is stable.

I will watch for a while and see if it stayes that way.

Thanks for your help!!

Martin Very Happy
