Hi,
the smps of my barco was broken... the standby works fine but don't start.
before fail of smps all works fine.
i check all solder connections for cracks and i renew suspects solders, i also check all fuse.

now the smps starts but i have the scan fail led on.and all other g2 led on (green)
the hdht led is on but very dim (all other led on g2 is on and bright green).
green light on smps is on.

i halso have the vertical board red led on.

any idea?

Thanks and sorry for my poor english.

Maurizio

Scan fail LED means that problem is on H or V board.

If current smps is taken from other 800, too wide picture adjustment from smps can also cause scan fail.

i will try to adjust picture in smps, but is the original one.

all works fine before problem on smps, a smps failure may damage vertical or horizontal board?

Thanks

It can, or the SMPS might still be defective. On the other hand, a failure on the H or V board may have taken out the SMPS.

I have spare parts of all of these boards if you need something.

No, I usually have customers send me all three boards, the SMPS, H and V boards. I test them all here, repair and do mods to all boards to make them a bit more reliable.

Hi, i have another issue....

The smps seems to work correctly, all works fine except the convergence....

I don't have errors, convergence simply don't work.

Extracting/inserting convergence board could crack the solders joints or maybe the smps have some problem?

Thanks

Maurizio

The 801 board will work but it will produce some interesting results at times. IMHO you need to match the convergence board with the controller or else some really strange thing will happen.

When you inserted the convergence board did you make sure that it is seated properly. Its possible to put the convergence board in without it connecting so please check that the board is in and connected before you conclude that its not working.

I check the connectors and was correctly connected, maybe when i put out and in the board during tests to verify if the first problem was in a convergence board i flex this and crack something (a solder?)

Thanks
