This is amplification on an earlier post:

I recently purchased an HDFury device to connect my new Samsung Blu-Ray player to my Dell 1800MP projector. This HDFury is not the newest Fury2 version. The projector has two VGA ports that work successfully when either is connected to my Dell notebook PC. The projector also works fine with input through the s-video port when connected to an older DVD player. The 1800’s video capability from the manual are: “NTSC 3.58, NTSC 4.43, PAL, PAL-M, PAL-N, SECAM, and HDTV (480i; r480P; 576I; 576P; 720P; 1080i). Composite video, component video and S-video capability.”

The problem is that when I plug into either of the VGA ports of the 1800 projector the VGA output from the HDFury at the end of HDMI cable coming from the Blu-Ray player, the projector is unable to find any input. I can unhook the cable from the projector with the HDFury and replug it into an old ViewSonic CRT and see a beautiful (if somewhat dark) broadcast from the Blu-Ray player. The HDFury has a blue light glowing inside, which I understand means it’s getting sufficient power.

Why can’t the HDFury send a readable signal to the 1800 projector when it can do so to the old CRT? Is this an issue the newer version of the HDFury could fix? Is my current HDFury defective?
