Hi,
I have just about got my 708 set up to an acceptable standard (except the greyscale) and I want to put my PS3 through it for blu-ray. I don't want to do the greyscale until I can do it with a blu-ray disc.
In the blurb for the HD Fury it talks about different cables that come with it for different inputs. Which one would I need for the 708? Does it have 5 wires that connect to all five BNCs?
I am also running composite for normal tv and I thought I might have to unplug that everytime I want to use the PS3. Ultimately I will get a receiver that I will use as a HDMI switch box as the V+ box I have also has HDMI output.

Actually you should do greyscale even before getting a Blu-ray, 'specially if your gonna view standard DVDs, or HDTV, even via the PS3. (Since you won't get proper colors unless you do.)
If I remember right even the 708mm uses composite sync, four BNC, so you need a T-connector for the H and V sync cables, using the HDFury. There are other devices, like Mooms that you can use a proper RGB + composite sync cable only. However, you can still use an RGB HV break out cable with an RGB + Composite sync input device, since instead of using a T connector you use less one cable.
And you'd be much happier running progressive component rather then composite only. There are plenty reciever that can handle this plus the switching needed.

Hi,
I have just heard there is an adater cable for PS3 that converts HDMI to component. It is an official Sony cable and there are copies around. Priced over here at £10 for a copy to £25 for the official. They also have left, right audio leads.
Has anybody used these cables? Do they work with HDCP?
