I've just been doing my first setup of my ceiling mounted BG1209s. Everything was going great, set first the internal pattern with no signal, spent some time doing all my static aligments. During this time I had the main cover open so I could do deflection yokes etc. I left door swinging whilst I did my 1080p memory block.

I'd just completed the 1080p pattern and was marvelling in the glory of a beautiful picture. I had been watching for about 5 minutes when I noticed a very slight mis-alignment on red, so I thought I'd go back in a touch it up, when the red tube go a whole lot worse upon switching to the genlocked pattern. And become un-adjustable.

Now 'red horizontal sides' moves in coarse convergence, but 'red vertical corners' do not. Also in the convergence adjustments it moves neither horizontally or vertically.

Please don't tell me that the fan not sucking(blowing..whatever) on the convergence tray with the main door swung open has damaged something. Sad

What can I do. It's not my lucky day, I've broken Mums high pressure sprayer this arvo too.

Dan

Well it seems like I didn't damage anything. I left the PJ for about 30mins (all the while stressing). I removed the convergence tray and had a look (smell) nothing seemed out of the ordinary...gave a few connectors a bit of a tweek for good measure, re installed, fired up and everything was back to normal. Made sure the covers were all in palce, and watched the last half of 'smoken aces' and everythings stable. Touch wood...it's all a goer. phew! Thumbs Up
