Got a line on a Runco 991 locally for $275 or so. Tubes look pretty worn from the pics. Is it worth the cost to pick up and find a couple replacement tubes? I'm currently running a Barco Vision 701 which is ok, but this would be a nice step up.

$595 or %695 each, I can't remember. Call VDC at 800-241-5005, ask for Gina. You need to quote her the P16 tube number found on a sticker on the side of the tube.
'Runco 991' doesn't tell her anything.

Ouch.... The set has 4k hours on it and was primarily a showroom demo. Green tube looks pretty fried from the pics. Still, for $275 it might be fun to play with...
It's missing the remote - anyone know if an NEC remote would work on this or do I need the original Runco one?
