|
|
Hey!
Just got the PJ running after mounting it upside down in the ceiling.
I deleted all the blocks, thinking that i should have a clean and proper install. Now it won't detect the computer connected to it. I have tried flicking through all the numbers of inputs on the remote.
I run 5bnc contacts, R, G, B, hSync and vSync. The computer is not detecting the PJ and vice versa. My Barco is just saying "warning source not available"
I should say that the pj gave a desktop image from my computer just before i deleted all the blocks and restarted my computer.
How do i troubleshoot this?
Regards

okay, now i have tried with another computer, the same result, have tried with different cable (still bnc, but composite sync), the same result.
the projector is projecting the internal pattern and you can go through menus like usual, it just fails to notice that a computer is sending an image signal. i did fool around with the built in remote in the back yesterday, but the projecor did receive an image signal before i played around with it, and after i did. thats the weird part. it stopped working after i deleted all the blocks and restarted the computer.
please help me.

You may need a negative sync signal. Or you can try inputting via port 3.

Port 3 will not work on an 800. Do as Brooklyn says: Check the computer output for negative sync. Chances are it defaulted to positive sync somewhere..

i do feed it a negative sync, i use mac os x and a program called "switch res x" that works just like powerstrip, the positive sync square is not checked.
i have been feeding the pj the same signal earlier, it just stopped working when i deleted all the blocks. shouldnt the computer detect the external screen and vice versa even if the signal is faulty?
