Wow they sold for the opening bid. I was watching them (only about 2.5 hours from me) but couldn't bring myself to go through the pain of swapping projectors and, potentially, tubes to upgrade my modified 808 Data with nearly new P16s (only about 500 hours on them now). I wonder if it is an indication of the economy?

Yep two Runcos 1100s essentially Barco 1209s Datas. The auction was for one but the seller had a second since he only got one bid I assume he will offer both for two times the money to the high bidder. I was really tempted since the risk was minimal as I would do cash and carry and since he clearly made the claim (however dubious) of no burn/wear I had a way out if it turned out that was incorrect on inspection. The fact that he would not ship and the fact that his/her description left a lot to be desired not doubt kept the price down as well but heck folks pay more on GL for potentially far less. I never thought they would go for the opening bid. It was either an abberation or a reflection of the market these days.

I'd buy one If Curt wasn't going after it. I'd have to find someone to pack/ship for a fee/trades/whatever.
