Has anybody else seen a problem where the picture gets noticably brighter (as in blacks are grey) with the image shift setting close to midrange (0) and gets much darker by moving the image to -35. The problem is that the picture is too bright when centered properly but has better blacks when shifted and dark. I could re-do the G2 setup to get the blacks better with the picture centered but don't want to 'fight' with whatever is making the brightness change with position.

When I shift to the right, the raster starts to fold over the non image area and then bands show up in the foldover.

Any idears??

That is normal. Most sets will dim out when you shift the H phase too far to one side. The correct position is when the image is centered. If that's too bright, then you have G2/video drive/input signal issues.

Cheers!
