All right well I have posted here I think once and I have stumbled around adjusting my projector to decent levels. However recently when I turn on the projector and have no inputs on it is all lined up and ready to go but after I put inputs on it I see my laptop projected momentarily with the decently ajusted settings and then it looks like it changes resolutions or something and everything goes to whack all colors wont line up with each other after this. Why is it that before I plus it on and a second or so into plugging it on everything is fine and than it destroys its settings?

On a side note what is that best way to hook coax and/or video in component into the projector?

Thanks in advance Marshmello

Let start out by asking what make and model projector. Then we can tell you the best way to sent a signal to it.

For different inputs you will need to redo the convergence of the PJ. The timings are never exactly the same for internal and external patterns.
Also your PJ has memories for each different resolution you will use.

To get component or non RGBHV sources to your PJ you will need a transcoder like the HD fury or the Box 1040 or a Video Processor.

For each source you will need to set up a new memory. Each source has different resolution timings and will need a DIFFERENT memory for that input. Most PJ's can have a separate memory block you can use for each source, its not like an TV where each source has its own input. In a PJ you share the same physical input location but that location will have many memories you can recall for a specific source. Understand?

And we need to know what your PJ is, this way someone can give you a more detailed explination.
