Yep it is stupid, if it had an isolation transformer built in it be different. There is one on E-bay that has a iso transformer in the middle for 300. but the Iso does more than the excotic metas used to make it.

I still wouldnt get one, I'd buy the cheap dale Isos for 24 each on E bay for every piece of gear if your that paranoid.

Why would it be stupid?
It's a life style. You would not want to power your 10000+$ amplifier with a normal IEC cable would you?
Granted a normal cable would have worked just fine but what's the style in that.

Now buying a sports car. That would be stupid Rolling Eyes

If you think it's pretty, by all means spend your money on it, like you'd spend your money on diamond earrings for your lady. But don't expect your gear to sound any better. (You'll probably get more "performance improvements" from the earrings. Laughing
