TV/Projector: Electrohome ECP 4100

I am getting a jittery ECP menu and test grid on my Electrohome ECP 3100 and I figure my ECP 4100 is next to start showing problems. I think for the 3100 it might be the Dallas chip. Does anyone know how to get these with new batteries? I have copied the specs printed on the chip below:

ECP 3100: Dallas DS1230Y-150 Nonvolatile SRAM 9817M 100887
ECP 4100: Dallas DS1230Y-150 Nonvolatile SRAM 9829C 102325

Thank you!

Is the 3100 connected to a source or are you just trying to put up a test pattern? If it's not connected to a source, you will get jittery test patterns.

First, make sure you have an active source connected. If that doesn't help, try reseating the all the chips on your boards by pressing gently on them - they'll probably make a slight noise as you do it.

I don't think a bad Dallas chip would lead to jittering - it's more for maintaining settings when the power is off. If you are convinced you need one, I think Curt carries them. If he doesn't, they're listed as in stock at http://www.futurlec.com/ICDallas.shtml
