I recently set up my first projector, a Barco 701. I went through the set-up procedures I found on this site and got a reasonably good picture as a result. I still have a band of soft focus across the bottom of the projected image, maybe the lowest 5-10% is what I am talking about. This the area where a lot of text is displayed and it can be difficult to read sometimes. My question is what can I do to improve the focus on the bottom without screwing up the rest of the picture??
Thanks

If your projector is anything like mine there are electronic focus zones for all 4 sides and all 4 corners and the center of all three tubes, check that perhaps?

Nope, that's not it. Put on sunglasses and look into the lenses at the tube face. See if the tube face is in focus. You could have fungus in the tube(s), it could be the SCheimpflug adjustments (mechanical/optical adjustment). THere's only one master focus control on the BArcos, one per tube.

Using the Sunglasses, I was able to see that the Green and Blue tubes have lost some of their cooling fluid. I had previously refilled the green tube, but it must still be leaking some how. The blue tube fluid loss is new in the last 6 months. The projector is ceiling mounted, could that be conducive to coolant leaking? I might try replacing the tubes .

If the fluid line is into the image, then you need to refill the tubes. Generally those tubes don't leak, but can develop fungus, although fungus along the bottom is rare, it usually starts in the middle somewhere.
