Hello,
I took apart my 1031 today because I wanted to inspect the blue tube, as my focus was mediocre at best. After I put the lens assy back onto the pj without the blue lens, I could not get it to boot up for more than 2 seconds or so. It will start as normal, but very shortly after I hit the green power button it will shutdown on its own and a little red LED on the board just under the BLUE lens will turn on and stay on. I am 99% sure I have all the connections correct as they were before I removed the lens.
What the heck is going on? I thought there might be some sort of ground fault protection, but it appears to me like everything is put back together as normal. Previously I was just using the hatch pattern on the pj with no input and it was working fine.
Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
Greg

It looks like a GA board problem, it seems to be common on those old 1031, I got the same issue. the cure would be to swap out the Elect. Caps on this board with new one.
I got exactly the same issue, that has solved it definitly.
I hope it helps

how can i get a BOM for this board? i can snag some lytics from work here and plop them in tonite, but I don't know how to determine what the values are other than just looking at the board later when i get home.
How sure are you about this being the culprit? I dont want to go thru the trouble if this isn't going to do the trick.
Thanks!!
