I am sure this has been gone over before, but I could not find specifics,

I am hopeful to get some advice on system setup. The current system includes a Lumagen HDP Pro, a NEC XG 135, Comcast cable, a HD DVD player (Toshiba A35) and a newly purchased Panasonic BD 30. The Comcast box and the HD DVD player go through the component inputs.

Now that I have 3 high def inputs, I was wondering what is the best way to hook everything up. For now I would prefer NOT to try and run HDMI up to the projector. I would prefer to keep all inputs running through the Lumagen.

One of the questions I have is whether running a HDMI to DVI cable is acceptable for one of the HD inputs? I have read posts about problems folks have had with HDMI to DVI. If this is an acceptable way to connect, which input would you run through the DVI in?

Thanks

I have all my HD sources going to my HDQ vie HDMI to DVI with no issues, I do also use a moome HDMI card in my marquees so i can do 1080p, but if you only are doing 1080i then you wont need an HDMI card to handle the HDCP, your player will now output 1080i.

I am running 1080i. Trying to get 1080p on the XG has not gone too well.

Any recommendations on cables? Anything special I need to watch out for? I will only run it about 6 feet.
