|
|
Hi,
I just ordered some spare parts from Hammerhead Tech for my NEC XG1100. Amongst them a system board. My pj and all the other parts are of the '2R4' variety. However the spare system board is a '3J3'. Hammerhead assures me that this particular board even though it's '3J3' will work fine in my projector. I believed they know what they're doing enough to go through with the order, but I thought I'd get a second opinion here.
Does anyone know for sure whether this system board 'PWC 4188' is suitable or not for my XG1100?
'cheers
Sim.

Your original system board should be a PWC-4063. Is that what it is?

I'm not sure to be honest. I've not looked at the system board actually in my machine. (Also I've lost my service manual.)
I simply asked Hammerhead if they had a system board for my pj and that's what they came back with.

Well here's some questions:
1) Is your machine definitely a 1100 or a 1101?
2) What is the board number of the one in your machine?
This would maybe determine if the 4188 will work or not depending what you have. According to the schematics the 4063 and the 4188 have different circuits which can be seen at the pinouts to the motherboard. Currently I dont know if they will interchange or not but if you answer the above questions then I'll look over the sheets somemore and see how the differences affect it.

Thanks, I'll have a look inside my machine when I get home tonight. It's definitely a 1100 though.
