I'm sure someone here will be able to help but you've got to give a bit more information than "how can I get it to work" What software are you using, the disk out of the box? Also what are you trying to calibrate?

I've split this post and started a new thread for it as it had nothing to do with where it was originally posted.

What version of Spyder3 (pro, elite, studio, or TV ) are you using?
What are you trying to do?

I use spyder 3 elite ,software is ColorHCFR software v2.0.1 , kal'guide "GREYSCALE & COLOUR CALIBRATION FOR DUMMIES" ,
i copy spyder3's “CVSpyder.dll” or spyder2's “CVSpyder.dll” to \Program Files\ColorHCFR\ ,
run colorhcfr only select sensor "spyderII" no "spyder 3" ,open new test ,run spyderII ,
report a error "spyderII retun initialisation error" .

There's your problem...HCFR does not work with Spyder3...yet....only works with spyder2

that was easy

Correct. The ColorHCFR software does not support the Spyder3 meter.
