Guys I've got an XG that I'm playing around with. It came to me as a non working set. The power supply has been 'up graded' to a 20amp one with IEC C19 connectors ( I've no idea why)...anyway the standby light comes on, the set fires up, fans whir etc...but just as I'm expecting the tubes to light up, it returns to standby, shuts down, no error code appears only the numbers 00 in the display. I don't know the history of the machine, but it does have new tubes, and had been returned to storage.
Any ideas? I reseated the boards along the back, everythings tight....can someone shed some light (cause the projectors not )

I would first locate all the fans and make sure their all spinning when you first turn it on. The ones on the sides are hard to see with out removing the side covers or neckboard shields.

That is indeed a weird one. Can you post a pix of that 20 amp supply? Never seen that before.
Can't say that I have anything obvious that jumps out at me.
I had a set here that had an F board failure after about 45 minutes, but that got an F9 (?) error code when the set shut down.
Maybe disconnect the tubes one at a time to see if there's some excess current drain? Maybe a bad solder joint somewhere that shuts the set down with no error code? If nothing else, my first swaps would be the LVPS, HV and H boards.
