Hi All,
I'm finally getting round to swapping the tubes on my 9500 for the new ones I bought over 2 years ago, and I've got a few problems:
1. See the first pic below, what is the gray resin between the tube and the housing / heatsink? And where can I get some replacement to seal the new tubes?
2. See second pic below, tube on the left if the original (P19LCP09RJA) pic on the right is the new (P19LPB03RJA), the identification sticker appears to be in the way of where the grounding tape should go, do I need to remove the sticker, or re-locate the grounding tape to another location?
3. I'm struggling to get my Anode leads off without damaging them because the old silicone is so strong, is there anywhere I can buy a replacement set and at roughly what cost?

Did you break the bellows when removing the tubes like that? If so, you're kinda effed.. I take the tubes out the back of the housing, I don't take the housing apart. I looked at it the other day, I was afraid I was going to rip the bellows.
I have new HV leads...

Thanks guys, Paul thats a great write up you've done, although I didn't damage my bellows while taking the tube out "my" way I'm certainly going to try taking the B + G tubes out the back of the housing using your method. So that only leaves me with one question, what am I supposed to do with that identication sticker thats going to be in the way of the grounding, gently try and remove it without damaging the coating on the outside of the tube?

Just attach it to another part of the tube bell housing.
