Hi I have just bought a VPH-1272Q that is making a buzzing/clicking noise that is coming from the bottom left of the projector when looking at it from the front. I was wondering if anyone could help me out with possible causes? Could it be the HV board is starting to go bad? The projector still turns on and works well. Thanks alot

That's where the high voltage power is located. I recommend NOT running the projector untill you have it fixed as a high voltage arc can blow out the circuits in the projector.

The only time I heard the same type noises is when I had not plugged the HV leads back in properly.

Yes first thing to do is unplug the projector from the power line and let it sit for 10 minutes or so. Then open up the case and make sure those red HV leads are plugged in properly. Also look along he length of each line for a little black scorch mark. That would indicate a burt line and the source of the HV arc.
Have a read here for the what's what with your projector: http://www.curtpalme.com/Sony125x_Layout1.shtm
