try reseating the HDM(between green and blue tube), if that doesn't do it then pul the CLM(back PJ with led's) and clean the contacts and remove the chips with an ic puller from radio shack and clean the pins on those with DeOxit cleaner also from radio shack. should solve the problem.

Hi Athanasios :

You are online all the time. You are right on. Everything is good now! Flickerings are gone and the 8500's pic is back! Thanks a million!
Is there way to clean the contact of HDM to 8500?

Alex:)

Yes, get a can of Deoxit from www.caig.com. You should be able to find that locally as well at a good electronics store.

Hey Chip. I know if your 4600 EVER does go down, you have a few other FULLY FUNCTIONAL Ampros you can pull parts from. And if you have spare boards, make sure you blow that thick layer of dust off before you use it. Laughing

If the other three last 25% as long as the first you'll be collecting social security and probably forgotten who you are by then Laughing Wink Mr. Green

Hey Chip...sounds to me like you're getting a backhanded "YOU SUCK". Laughing
Alas, I'm still in the 'Quee doghouse myself with a bad VIM. Sad But I AM getting alot of sh*t done around the house. Rolling Eyes
(f*ck that noise! I WANT MY PJ BACK!!!) Twisted Evil

Not to worry tho. I can wait. MP is on the case. Thumbs Up

If the pj is ceiling mounted you might want to think about modifying the covers for the F board and the HDM. They have a nasty tendency to creep out of the sockets due to gravity and heating and cooling.

I'm in the mood for love,
simply cause I've got one.

Funny but when I've got one,
I'm in the mood for love.

Later, if I'm in the mood, I'll give you my version of "Puff the Magic Dragon" Laughing
