Just got a Barco Data 708. I done the manual convergence and think I got a issue but I want to run the Iris and see how that compares. I just don't know how to do it. Anyone got a step by step for this?

Thanks

Aaron

I think you will find the instructions in the on screen menus. That's where mine are. I think the installation manual covers that also.

I'm not familiar with the BD 708, my one and only barco is a 1209s. I suggest reading the manuals.

It's an option, try looking at the pages here for it, This is just the brochure but there may be more info available.

When I used the iris, it came out sh*tty... manual setup is better.

The only difference between an Iris 2 and the Iris 3 is the firmware in the controller e prom. With the Iris 3 firmware you also get smaller on screen menu letters. OK for a rough set up but that's about it.

Once I had the pj in roughly the right position, I ran the iris and it did most of the work. It took an hour of fine tuning to get it "watchable" after that. Mine's still not set up right. (Probably never will be satisfied with it) Rolling Eyes

You turn the lens on the camera to give the maximum reading on the scale. You need to do that slowly, and the better you get the focus the better the results.

I have the printed manual, but I think you can download the manual from Barco's site. I think it's also on Curt's site as well.

iris seems to work resonably well, it needs a little tweaking afterwards, but it's very close.

I couldn't figure out why you wouldn't just download the Iris3 Manual off this site .... so I went and looked on one of the Barco download pages:

http://www.curtpalme.com/Barco701_Downloads.shtm

It's not there! Holy crap! A manual we don't have. So I added it.
