OK so I finally ceiling mounted this thing, that went so-so, not 100% square to the screen  anyways, I did the convergence but the left bow & keystone produced this weird problem (see the pic). The lower left hand corner went all wavy. What's the problem, is it the hardware? I did the convergence fully in the previous setup and that didn't do this ... as far as i can recall.
EDIT it doesn't seem to matter where the raster is for example, this error follows with the image. If I project 16:9 material, the waves are in the lower left corner of the projected image, and if I switch to 2:35 the same result. If I delete everything and start from the beginning, it goes away - until i get to left side bow & keystone...

Had the same problem. Thought the 54k hours on the RG708 might have something to it.
When I adjusted something (can't remember what) it kind of snapped and nearly folded some origami on the screen. But just the blue tube.
I never touched the geometry controls after that.
Hope you get it sorted out.
Can you get it to work with minimal geometry control?

I still have to check, but IMO it would work without any geometry control... but then I wouldn't get a picture.

First thing to do would be to check all connectors on the inside of the set. Particularly the ones nearest the conv. boards. Turning the projector may have shifted something, or some part is stressed in a different way.
Also check anything that you have moved changing scan direction. Doesn't sound like the problem, but make sure you haven't knocked a connector off something else.
Check the convergance board out, if some pins on the chips are not soldered right, then hanging the projector could pull them away. With it sat on the floor it may work fine, but when on the ceiling, something moves.

Thanks for the tips. I just noticed a guy in another thread had a similar prob with BD708, just the error looks different, and Curt said the conv. board could be broken. I will still first check everything like rpruen suggested, and will see what happens..

I think the problem is on the conv. board as well. Your set possibly has a loose connection, or poor solder joint on one of the chips. The waveform isn't getting to the conv. driver for one area of the tube, or the waveform is distorted by poor conduction. Maybe....
Curt is king here, he has years of experience, so he will know better than me. Where it may take me a few hours with a scope to find out, he will have seen the fault several times and go direclty to it.
Also I don't want to tread on any toes here, I'm sort of new, and don't have a good idea for the un-written rules yet. I hope I will get fair warning if I overstep the line. I'd hate to upset anyone.
Hope that it is something easy, if not then Curt should be able to sort it.

unfortunately it does not seem to be anything easy... It does the folding thing David Web was talking about... Checked the connections, everything is in it's place. I wish i had an oscilloscope now...

Sorry I have no solution without looking at it. If you where closer I'd try swapping my 701 board in there to see if that cured it.
You could try changing the configuration back to front table, and see if it works then? That worked for the 708 in the other post.
