Saler/processor for Sony XBR 32" ?

I use this tv for casual viewing of Cox basic cable which is 480i right? It does have component inputs, no dvi. It will take up to
1080i.

Any thoughts on something like a Faroudja VP 401 teamed up with this tv for about $125-150?
