I've been setting up a Lumagen DVI in my system. The goal is to get 1080p/24 off a PS3 to the Lumagen and then scale to 1920 X 800/48 or 60 and send this to the XG Moome internal card.
I have no issue getting the Lumagen to accept 1080p/24 and scale it but I can't seem to get either the Lumagen or the XG to take 1920 X 800. I get 1080i/60 or 72 and can get roughly 1800 X 800/48 or 60 but as soon as I increase past roughly 1800 in horizontal the XG loses lock on the signal. Since I can not see the screen I can not tell if the Lumagen is actually outputing the resolution. Its the DVI model so i guess its approaching it limits at these settings. It could be that the XG requires the porch settings manipulated for 1920 X 800 but I can not do it without seeing the screen.
I know the XG will take the signal because I've used 1920 X 800 with a IScan HD+ in the past. I do remember I had to mess with porches there as well but it had an LCD display on its front so i could navigate the menus. Unfortunately that setup on the XG has been deleted so i know once I get this sorted out I'll need to do a complete setup.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

Here is a 1920X800 timing I used with my HTPC/XG for a while, it is 72Hz though.

One thing bad about a 2:40 resolution I have noticed lately is many blu-rays now are putting subtitles in the black bars. So when you fill the image you cut off the sub-titles. Dumb ass studios...they can't get anything right. So now I just run 1920X1080 all the time and call it a day. This whole issue has me questioning the whole concept of CIH screen.
