When I first bought my 8000, I sat it on a low coffee table in front of my couch. I have since built a ceiling mount, consisting of very heavy duty (600 lb rated) steel tube and mounting plate, bolted to aluminum rails that then bolt to the Marquee. I have noticed that now the geometry of the bottom of the picture is now distorted, with a roughly "tilde" shape to it, just like the "~" character of a keyboard. I assume the steel mounting plate is affecting the magnetic field of the green tube causing this distortion, and that fixing this distortion will require adjusting the magnetics of the tubes. Is this assumption accurate, and if so can anyone give me any tips on how to proceed?

Thanks,
Brad

When moving from a floor to a ceiling mount or vice versa the magnetics should always be looked at again as the earths magnetic field is different even with that small amount of distance. And some areas it affects more than others. Usually its the CPC magnets. Now for the wavyness at the bottom could just be
how you set the raster to the tube face. I would do a complete re initialization of the set and redo all the inputs again using the mechanical set up guid in the projector. Then check the Astig(CPC) magnets and also the focus coils to get the perfect center.
